Exnovation.brussels is a website exploring a new and emerging concept in Sustainability Transitions Studies: exnovation. Exnovation refers to processes of destabilisation, decline and phasing-out of carbon-intensive industries, technologies, business models and practices or that raise other systemic sustainability issues. The website has been built and is managed by researchers based in Brussels in the framework of a research project named GOSETE. It addresses local actors of transitions (policy makers, private actors, NGOs and civil society) as well as researchers in the field.

Our GOSETE project questions the exnovation concept at the level of the metropolitan governance of the transitions towards a sustainable economy.
